Back in the 60's in Cleveland we had our assemblies in the massonic temple every year.
It was a neat building.
the latest edition of the free in christ ministries journal contains a very interesting article entitled the watchtower and masons.. drawing upon material from the book the watchtower & the masons by fritz springmeier, it gives the following parallels between the things that c t russell believed and those taught by the masons:.
* both believe jehovah is the most important word being the basis of their dogma, and the name of their god.
* both believe god yielded power to a lesser god.

I think a person could write a book on knowing oneself.
Why you do what you do. What your motives are.
I think you become enlightened when you realize that you become what you think about.
And if you can control what you think about, you can control what you become.
would they have d.fed as an apostate???
?.
1973,1974,1975 I believed Armegeddon was coming. I was 23 years old, all I knew was "the truth"
January 1976, I started fading, quit being a ministerial servant, it took me to 1983 to figure out how to never go back
and not get in trouble.
i just roll my eyes around when she said that to me.
the conversation went like this.
she asked me if i have been going to the meetings?
You cant worry about what other people think about you.
What they think about you is their business, What you think about yourself, is your business.
sitting enjoying a 70 degree day for the first time since?????????????.
listening to the i pod ....... and this song was my secret dark side!!!!.
pure evil "music" lyrics "band name"................. my secret pleasure!!!
There was a group that I really liked when I was young, Blue Oyster Cult.
I would collect all their albums and then destroy all of their albums several times until I got the
wicked, corrupt watchtower thinking out of my head.
before i acquired a skill, i worked retail.
like many jobs that work non-traditional hours, when you apply for a job in retail or a restaurant or something, you have to tell them what hours you are available to work.
now most people looking for a job, unless they are in school or something, are available to work whenever the job requires.
Yes when I was a witness it cost me several good jobs and prevented me from getting several good jobs.
hi, everyone.. for many jws all they ever hear about is how wicked the world is and how it has gotten even worse lately.
the media does not help either.. and even for many ex jws who still have family who are still in, we have to listen to all that doom and gloom about the end of this system.. but, i would just like to recommend a website i found, (not sure if that violates jwn rules) .
its not religious at all, but is a news source of many heartwarming stories and news articles from all over the world that show just how wonderful life and and people can be.. i find it's a great antidote to remind us that the whole world is not wicked and in fact wickedness is still in the minority!.
This systems the only one we have.
It's good when we can say its not that bad.
Got to keep it on the good foot.
if you were to pin point out the workings of the wts., of what attracts people to the.
organization and what is the catalyst that controls them once.
they are inside of it, the conclusion would most likely be drawn that fear is the paramount.
Fear is one of the foremost human methods of controlling other humans.
The Watchtower socieity didn't invent it and they are not the only ones that do it.
Thru out my working life, my employer attempted to instill fear in the work force everyday to achieve
employers desired results.

My favorite car was a 1969 Javelin. It got smashed between 2 cars on the street in front of the book study.
Some guy was out looking at Xmas lights with his family and ran into the back of it and shoved the front of
it into the car in front of it..
It was a very cool car. I wish I could figure out how to post a picture of it.
